
The Pro-Chancellor and Chairman Governing Council of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti, Professor Tunde Samuel in company of Governing Council Members and the University Management embarked on the tour of all the University facilities.
The exercise according to the Pro-Chancellor was to enable the Governing Council have an up to date knowledge of completed projects, as well as ongoing projects so as to fine tune possible ways bridging the infrastructure deficit in the institution.
Professor Samuel expressed delight with the quality and quantity of the infrastructures. He assured the University management that his council was ready to explore avenues within the ambit of the laws to complement the uncommon strides of the Professor Kayode Soremekun led administration. Furthermore, he added that he was overwhelmed by the achievements of this administration in the face of daunting financial challenges. He applauded the Vice-Chancellor for the prudent use of resources and the prevailing working relationship between the management and the staff as well as the students.
In his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kayode Soremekun applauded TETfund for striving to bridge the infrastructure gap in the institution. He added that his administration has put the University’s internally generated revenue into judicious use as evident in the construction of the five hundred seater capacity lecture theatre among other projects. Professor Soremekun expressed his administration’s readiness to partner with the Governing Council and other relevant stakeholders to place FUOYE in the right place of prominence.
