The Federal University Oye-Ekiti again witnessed another mind blowing event which is the first of its kind this year on the 25th of January, 2019 at the FUOYE main auditorium.
The popular event tagged “UNWIND” was organized by OSCEntz, a subsidiary of OYESOURCE and it featured the music, dance, games, rap battles, stand up comedy, among other performances.
While speaking to UCJ FUOYE, one of the artists, Adekunle Damilare, popularly known by his stage name “Lucejay” from the faculty of Engineering, Ikole campus expressed gratitude for being part of the event despite the fact that he is a new student on campus.
According to the CEO OYESource Empire: David Oladejo, “UNWIND” was birthed as a one-day event to bring together talents that will feature on all genres among the freshers and stalites on campus”.
“Everything we do from OYESource Entertainment is always from a need. The concern is not really the monetary aspect of it, the idea of this event came up some days ago (10) when we discovered students in school were idle, no lectures, ASUU on strike, everywhere was boring, students going back home, some doing immoral things and the likes. We just planned on how we can make Oye and its environment lively for the students on campus, then these thoughts birthed UNWIND”, he said.
“UNWIND” is an event planned to be the talk of students at least for the next two weeks. It is just a term that connotes forgetting the past, neglecting boredom, remembering the good days of the past, being happy and lively always. So it was set up to bring the students together again as one”, he explained further.
He concluded giving thanks to God for the success of the event and to everyone who was present at the venue. He also acknowledged his team for a job well-done. “I am just the one doing the talking here, we all did the job, I can not start naming them, kudos to the them all”, he concluded.
